Thank you so much, dear Sheila. It's an absolute delight to be here with you today and with all our listeners. Thank you.
Yeah. Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself as we get started? Having listened to your introduction and bio there.
I thought you did a great job reading all that. It's a bit long. I'm sorry. But I loved actually our meditation before we started. Coming back to that essential connection, the spiritual connection, which is what this is all about fundamentally. If I had two words for it, it would be spiritual connection. And so, yes, this is the energy I'm feeling today. Loving this alignment with you in this moment and really interested to see where the flow takes us today.
Yeah. Well, thank you. For the listeners, I always do with everyone that I'm having a conversation with, we do just a short grounding meditation and connection with each other so that we have brought our full presence into this conversation as we share that. It's really fun, and it really brings us into this grounded perspective as we allow all the guidance that is here for us to share. So thank you for mentioning that. So one of the things that stood out to me, I loved this aspect of the spiritual seekers Changemakers and change makers and the art of co-creation. And I think I'm curious. The co-creation stood out to me in the spirit of this part of your bio before we jump into our topic. What do you mean by co-creation? In what you're speaking about there?
That's a great question. I'm so glad you've asked that. In our more modern New Age thinking, There is a trend that I've noticed where a lot of emphasis is being put on our power to choose, our power to create our lives, our power to change. It's wonderful, and it's also a little bit problematic in my experience. I'll explain why. It's true that we have power, we have freedom, but it's still relative, isn't it? When I explore a person's energy and I go into the soul aspect and I see all the karmic threads that are active in them, what I see is that a person has ultimately perhaps freedom or free will or the power to determine self or to determine a life experience. But on a relative plane, we We don't have so much. We are often running stories of the past. We are rehashing old narratives. We are captured by ancestral energies, systemic energies, unfinished karmic stories, And so these are occupying so much of our energy and our awareness, our consciousness that we forget. We forget, and we're so busy channeling these emotions, the old pain, the old drama, that we don't effectively have freedom.
We're compelled. That's what karma does. It compels us. It was something could have happened in another life experience. Perhaps I just came across that the other day. Somebody had killed a person, and now this person had another past life experience with them where they were mother and child, and now the mother was hurtful to the child. Then there was another life experience when they were working together. Now the boss was hurtful towards the employee, and now they had another life experience, and it was the same energy again. Where's the freedom in that? How can a person really change? It's all a matter of context. And part of our acts of co-creations, first of all, to heal and perhaps find more freedom within those constraints that we have all these karmic energies that pull us here and there, all these old stories and the programs we run. Start having a bit more choice around how we act, how we behave, those fundamental things, basic things, seeing more clearly, having a better perspective, a clearer perspective. And then ultimately, as a soul, we're not here alone, and we're not only here for these mundane concerns. The beginning and end of a life's purpose is not to earn a living and pay bills and be nice.
There's so much more, and you know this very well. There's a whole evolution of consciousness going on. There are so many beings and consciousnesses, and we have so many forces that are helping to shape creation. Yes, there's life on this planet. There's the personal experience, there's the collective experience, there's the cosmic, the galactic experience. It's a huge, big experience of life, and we are part of it. To what extent do we have absolute freedom or absolute power to do whatever we like? Well, we have to find our place in all of this. In that sense, it is a co-creation. It's a combination of acquiring more freedom and more personal integrity and empowerment through healing, fundamentally, and integrating one's energy, and then connecting with a higher vision for the life, with a greater purpose that serves a greater good, not just the personal good, but a greater good, not just the human good, but the planetary good, the cosmic good, having some connection with that greater good. And then what happens, I find, is we find our place in the grand design. And there's this wonderful paradox where you realize you have freedom. When you connect with spirit, when you're one with source, you realize you have the freedom to choose, but you choose the divine wisdom.
It's already done for you effectively. You're not really making anything happen. It's a combination of allowing and deciding simultaneously. It's a really strange thing. When you're talking about the divinity, it's really paradoxical, isn't it? When you come-Yes, it is. Yeah. You surrender and at once you have will and you have nothing and everything at the same It's all like that. So yes, there is a way of connecting with source or spirit in a sense where you do feel you're most spacious, you're most open, you're most free, you're most empowered. But in that, there's no forcing, there's no quitting exactly. It's more a presence, it's more a love and a wisdom and a grace that starts to flow, and you become part of that. So there, you're part of the co-creation.
So this aspect of co-creation really just being in creation with soul, in creation with the environment, in creation with divinity playing out, right? This play where we're creating in freedom. I really like that word freedom. It's a topic in a class I just rerecorded recently on Live a More Balanced Life. And there's an energy to freedom, this aspect of our freedom to choose and appreciating our freedom, the freedom to choose, and then recognizing when we don't feel like we have freedom, which is, I think, where you were talking. You started with the concept of past lives and things that feel like we're in this repeated patterns. It's interesting as I was listening to your description there and your beautiful articulation of it. The previous episodes that are going to... It's almost like this is a little course that's happening. I did an episode with someone on energy healing, and then I just did an episode with somebody on past lives. And then we're now talking about Soul's Purpose, where we move into this aspect of alignment. And so it's like a really beautiful little, I think, three-part series that's almost happened of bringing these together.
Herb. I love that this is divine timing, divine timing playing out in co-creation. So it's just perfect.
Absolutely beautiful.
It always happens that way, right? When we talk about purpose on the path of higher consciousness, that's that statement in and of itself. There's so much fun to play with. But diving into this in this aspect of our listeners and souls, I spent a lot of time in my life trying to figure out my purpose, right? Figure out that one thing in life. And I did life purpose classes and life purpose exercises. And I get really frustrated, actually, because there was never like that one thing for me. And how do you describe soul's purpose? How do you put a container around this concept of what it means? Because there's been so many definitions out there that I've come across of what it means to find your Soul's Purpose.
Yes, absolutely. I mean, it's my absolute favorite topic. It's a personal story around that, Shelby, happy to share. But you're right. It's very hard to put in a neat little box and say, Well, this is my one thing. There, it's clear. I know what to do. Everything's sorted. Figured out my big why. Okay, great. It's not so simple, and yet it is. But the fifth is very simple. Your sole purpose, I would say, is you, is your reason for existence. When we talk about co-creation and us being part of creation, There is an implicit concept of there is a need for us to be here. We're not accidental or random. There is a part for us here in the grand tapestry of life, and we're essential to it. And this way in which we are an essential and integral part of creation is the purpose. So the purpose is not exactly a thing you do. It's who you are and also how you are and where you are and everything about you and how you're evolving. So purpose unfolds as you're evolving and growing, and it reveals itself just as you're getting to know yourself better We were mentioning this before starting in our conversation, embracing our gray hair.
Everything that... The silver is my medal for everything that I've been It's true. Never mind. I don't need gold. Silver is good enough. To really feel how life's challenges and pains and all the learning This is the purpose. This is unfolding, and we're getting to know ourselves, and we're deepening in our love and our presence and our wisdom and in the way we share our energy. Now, having said that, there are many layers to this, and it is possible to be a lot more clarity, not least to find better alignment and live more fulfilling lives. Because being too vague around that can create the sense of dissatisfaction you were describing. Well, I've done all the courses, and it's not one thing. So am I doing something wrong or what is this? There is a way to connect with purpose that isn't necessarily so limiting or so neatly described or a prescription of some kind. Okay, this is your prescription. This is what you need to experience. There's a more intuitive way of connecting, which I like, and perhaps the listeners will resonate with. You can think of your soul purpose as a combination of your essence, your energy, certain divine qualities, frequencies of light.
That can translate as aspects of your Some of your personalities, some of your talents, gifts, some of your tendencies, inclinations, even your constitution is part of that, some of your preferences and interests and where your curiosity will naturally gravitate towards will be part of that. Many different narratives of life is in so on, you have the possibility of unfolding certain unique qualities. Okay, these frequencies, these qualities a special gift that you carry in a unique way that serves the co-creation role part of and reveals light in a way that only you can and expands awareness in the way that only you can expand it and expand love in a way that only you can expand it and share it. That is then your unique purpose. Rather than think of one thing you do or a job description or something like that. You're feeling for your innermost love and your innermost joy and start to notice when you're feeling more aligned with that. What are the settings? What are the activities? Who are the people? You're noticing when you're opening and expanding, when you seem to have infinite energy, you don't notice the passing of time.
You're also very motivated. It's something that you're interested in, curious about, and something that really satisfies or meets a longing in your heart. For me, there was always this aspect of the spiritual connection, spiritual longing. I had this connection with spirit. I had awareness in the angelic presence. I could hear the universal sounds and the song of the angels. I was so in touch with that. I was always trying to find that, and I noticed when I could find it and when I couldn't find it. So in religion, I couldn't find it. It was too rule-oriented. All I could see was a lot of rules and conventions, and people just going through the motions of whatever they were supposed to do. But I didn't feel really the spirit alive in the people who said they were religious or who went to church a lot. Not necessarily, not always. I mean, don't want to pay too broad a stroke here in my description. But a lot of people were not, let's say, great Christians. They call themselves Christians, but the spirit wasn't there, of love, of kindness, forgiveness, also relationships or sexuality. Back in Greece, where I grew up and everybody was Greek Orthodox, there's the idea that you marry and you have a family and you're loyal and so on, but everybody was having affairs and divorcing and everybody was lying and hurting each other or something.
Well, it doesn't really end up. That's not where you find that connection then, where it really infuses your life. It's not something you do or some concepts that you say you believe in, but it's something that really ease you. I rather found that spiritual connection in music and in my connection with the emotional quality of life, the intuitive aspect of life, the vibrational aspect, the way of connecting, communicating without words, of being more in contact with that energetic state and feeling that openness and expansion through music. And Beethoven was my favorite for this reason because it was so much passion and with the whole human drama. And then at the same time, this transcendence and ecstasy and divinity and everything that's great in a human being, the divine human, it was all there. And I just loved that. And so for me, that was more spiritual than, let's say, going to church. And so that is part of my sole purpose this or soul gift, to seek out this connection, to seek out this state. It's a powerful state when you really feel like you're plugged in, you know what I mean? You're in. And it's running through you and you're feeling yourself.
Yes, you're a human being, but also there's this greater force that's moving through you. Wow, isn't that amazing? It fills you with gratitude and awe and joy. That's a spiritual connection. I was doing music, so I became a professional musician. But the music was amazing, but really was a special connection I was into more than anything else. At some point, I was going to all kinds of meditations, workshops and study, and this and that, and I had a number of school experiences. At some point, I did a meditation, actually, a sole purpose meditation, because like, here, I was a little bit frustrated. I didn't know what the thing was. I had identified that I was really after the spiritual connection at that I just thought it was music. I actually thought it was music. I was dissatisfied. I thought, Well, I'm sure it's something more to this, but I'm not quite sure what it is. I was traveling then as an international examiner, and I was just very heavily immersed in academia and research and performance and the education, all of it, just music within my entire life. I did this meditation. It was a 10-minute meditation, and I thought it would be something about music.
My expectation was it's just some aspect of music that I haven't quite worked out. If I get that aspect of music that I haven't worked out, then I'll be really fulfilled. Then I'll feel I've got this thing that I'm really after. When I did that sole purpose meditation, I saw a vision of a cosmic Buddha, and I thought, Okay, what's that? I don't know what this has to do with anything. It still surprised me because at that I hadn't especially looked at Buddhism or anything like that. I didn't know about Buddhism, especially, or meditation, for that matter. I was more into mysticism. I wasn't especially a meditator. I was meditating through music, but not exactly meditating. No, I was in that state. But when I saw that vision, it did something because it felt so real. It felt so genuine and true. It had come from a place that I knew had to be true because I just could not have made that up because it wasn't in my framework. I wasn't reading books like that. I wasn't seeing movies like that. It just wasn't. It just suddenly came. I thought, Okay, this is important.
This is significant. Let me just pay attention. And that was a moment for me, the definitive moment, when I said to Universe, I just made a path. I said, Okay, Universe, I don't know what this is. I don't know what I'm supposed to do. But if this is my purpose, I'll do it. I'll do the thing, but you've got to help me because I don't want to do. So I made a promise. I made a promise. I will do this thing. I will follow this thing, but show me what to do, and I'll do it. And so that's when everything started to shift. And I started to meet all these people and started like, the synchronicities were crazy. Books were flying off the shelves. You're giving me the thing I needed to learn about. And I I would overhear conversations. It's a part of the conversation. People massively meant it in my ear. Somebody was shouting, and I could go, Oh, okay. Pay attention to that then. Following the threads, I just had a big Kundalini awakening, and then a tantric awakening. Very quickly, I went from music to tantra, actually. Tantric spirituality and tantric healing.
I quit the music. I completely shifted. It It was the biggest, I don't know, unimaginable change from the outside. Somebody looking at me from the outside would go, This is unthinkable. What are you doing? But for me, it This is perfectly consistent. I had found that really it was a spiritual connection, really it was this cosmic energy, really it was this enlightenment fundamentally and the compassion and the cosmic opening and awareness that I was really going for. I devoted my life to it and, yeah, I'm looking back.
There you go. What an incredible story. Definitely be one of those people that has this moment of choosing a guided life, even though you didn't know that's what you were doing in that moment. But taking and trusting. What I feel or what I felt when you were talking about that is you were so willing to trust, right? Like a surrender to this is it. And I think living and embracing your soul's purpose, there is a surrender and trust that has to happen in order to discover what it is, to discover more of who you are. Sometimes you have to. You don't have to. Everybody's always free will and choice. I don't want to use the word have to. But the opportunity is to just surrender and trust, because in that, when you let go, you do almost always somewhere get the guidance. It might show up as, like you said, books falling off the shelf in front of you or people arrive into your life. And so there's the aspect of all the healing and the past lives But what I feel like I'm... It's like reminding or helping people understand that it's actually the little things of learning to trust and follow the guidance, the soul's purpose, the integration of your entire being and your entire self.
I think we often do want it to be like I did. I'm like, I want it to be crystal clear. I want you to give me my whole plan. What am I supposed to do? What's going to satisfy me in life? And it doesn't work that way. It's little steps. It's small things. And then they often grow to be much bigger. Yet it's not typically laid out of, Okay, here's the next 20 steps. You get the next step. And in that next step, it's the trust and surrender of just being 100% present with whatever that is that brings you more into... I mean, ultimately, when we talk about your soul's purpose and all of the ways that you describe it, it's our acceptance and aligning with our own personal power. Because in that, we find out more of who we are and how we can ultimately serve others and step forward into that.
Yes. I mean, for me, that took a while. Well, to get to the place of realizing, Okay, there's this part to be shared through this. So there's a mission here. That took a while, actually. What mostly motivated me, well, it was always this, I suppose, is it surrender or inevitability? I was just so compelled. I just couldn't live with myself if I didn't pay attention to these It would be such a night of betrayal for me not to. It's not necessarily that it was so easy for me that I would go, Oh, yeah, sure. Let's follow that. I trust completely. I'm like, Yeah, I go with the flow. I was that agronizing over things. I had no idea. But before I had evidence of anything, there was always this strong longing, this calling from within. I suppose it's possible for someone to stomp on that and say, You know what? No, I'm not going to do that. I'm going to play it safe. I'm going to lead a normal life. I'm going to just be rational and logical, grounded, and just count my blessings, keep it small, and live a good life, whatever the expectation of that is in whatever the culture, religion, society.
But that just didn't work for me from the outset. It's not something that necessarily I accomplished. I just somehow could not live with myself like that. I seem to be allergic to compromise.
That's funny. Allergic to compromise. What a funny few words to put together.
That's awesome. Yeah. Even if it meant discomfort, not knowing fear, anxiety, I still would do it because there was a bigger force. But I said, I just cannot live with myself if I don't try, at least.
Yeah. I think-Go ahead.
That's where I went. Yeah.
I think often there's There's a misnomer that those that have stepped forward in the way that you're talking about, that it's just been easy. I'm like, It's not easy. If you're doing what you're doing and you're sharing, and particularly those stepping forward and claiming, like you have in your bio, the modern day mystic, a healer, a channel, a guide. We're talking about past lives and soul purpose and ascension, and manifestation, which are all these things that are becoming more normalized. And yet often people have no idea the amount, how many times you had to tell yourself, I'm doing it anyway. I don't know how I'm going to do this, but I'm doing it. I think that when we come back to embracing your soul's purpose on the path of higher consciousness. There's a part of it that is that, and maybe that's where the commitment comes from, it's the commitment to the higher consciousness and a little bit of the... It's a lot easier to move into that higher consciousness if you just embrace all of who you are and know that because we're all here having lived thousands of past lives to the karmic threads you mentioned in the first little intro, it can feel like we're not supposed to do something.
It can feel like we're not supposed to step forward. It can feel like karma is against us, and why can't I do this, and why am I so afraid? All of those patterns that might... What are people going to say about me? What if somebody doesn't like what I have to teach? And that's the power of the healing and the support of being part of what you've put together with the School Soul Alchemy, all of the amazing programs that are out there and the people that have these incredible gifts of seeing those threads, helping people unwind these moments for you. Just like you and I, we always knew there was something more we were supposed to do. It's taken me a while to loop back around to what that exactly was through the journey of Tapestry of Life. There's been a lot of support that I have. I keep hearing support. There's been a lot of support that I have had in my journey, that I have sought out in my journey because I wanted to... I wanted to know more of who I was. That question, who am I? I often write it in my journal, and I see what answer comes forward.
Who am I? I feel like, who am I? And how does this world work has been in my questioning all my life. I think that I'm fortunate in that question has always been there, and it's taken a commitment to get support. It's the rare person who goes through this journey and doesn't have the amount of conflict. But in reality, in today's world, to your point, environment, there's almost eight billion of us on the planet just being in everybody's soul and our karmic energies. It's not always easy. And so it can feel like my soul's purpose, I'm barely surviving day to day, right?
Yet, in these moments where you feel like you're struggling and barely surviving, it's like, well, get support.
Go listen to podcasts. Go find the free communities to be part of, even if you don't have the abundance. There's always ways to find your path through so that you can... When you get to the other side, there's never an endpoint. But when you maybe hit the tipping point of the mountain, you climbed up and you can at least look out before you head up the next mountain, there is more peace, there's more joy, there's more fun, there's more love, there's more ease, there's more effortlessness. When we do find this alignment with our own energy, our own who am I, and what do I want to do, and how do I want to share? I think that a little bit... A lot of us joke about, Yeah, it's not been easy. I think there's a lot of people that want it to be easy. If you're going to move into this, it's going to take some work. It doesn't happen overnight, typically. It's a journey. We're on a journey here. Yes.
Absolutely. I mean, speaking from my experience, there have been a lot of carets stangled. You know what I mean by that? There were times that I had that wonderful flow and synchronicity and magic. I had those amazing transiental experiences where it was amazing. It was like, oh, my God, this is so perfect. But it was like the carrot being dangled in front of my face to get me motivated, to show me how it can be, to show me the perfection and the beauty and the love and the wonder and the absolute magic and power, also you mentioned that we can have in our co-creation of our life experiences. And it got me going. And then, okay, now you got to heal this, and now you got to learn that, and now you got to overcome this resistance, and now you got to move this way and that. But I was motivated because I had those gift experiences. For me, that's been a help also. A lot of that just came spontaneously. Some of that came through through encounters, through people, often comes through people. Of course, as you say, it's very important to ask for support.
That's what we're here for. Our purpose is to share with others. How are we going to do that if nobody's receiving anything that's offered or not offering something to be received? It is all about this exchange. We're all here to help each other. For me, the part you're touching on, which is about normalizing these extraordinary states, we think of as extraordinary states. They're not, really. This is what we're evolving into. Embracing this more strange experience of life understanding of self or more multidimensional or more expanded, transpersonal and so on as something normal, actually, something that is part of who we are, something that is functional, something that we can and do bring into the everyday life, that there is no separation between what is thought of as normal or ordinary or mundane and the spiritual or high consciousness or ascension. To bring all together, to integrate, to evolve holistically. In that journey, that was difficult for me because one is very vulnerable to other people's opinions and judgments and all this intuitive work. I can't explain it scientifically. I can't necessarily provide some tangible proof of something, but it's known and felt intuitively. So This work, this way of experiencing ourselves, it means giving importance, significance, meaning, and trust in that which we don't see with our ordinary senses, something greater that we can know with our being, not something that we can conveniently demonstrate in a scientific method, some repeatable saying that would satisfy the scientists.
I'm loving scientists, by the way, and I think they are developing amazingly and there are great strides moving forward in science of spirituality and consciousness They're starting to find a flow together, and they're starting to come together, and physics and so on is helping this whole understanding of consciousness and energy and so on. It's all going well, I would say. That's it for me also, it took a while to come clean about my psychic gifts and so on. I didn't want to be judged. I didn't want to be ridiculed or made fun of. I didn't want to be somehow disgraced. Because this was some crazy woos stuff or whatever. It took a lot of work, actually, with others. It took a lot of establishing my reality with this and that it is real, it is working by having contact with a lot of people and witnessing a lot of people and witnessing their transformations. So I had to prove it to myself even before I could come clean and say, You know what? Here's what it is. And if you don't think it's real, if you don't think it's true, it's okay. I'm still doing it.
And for myself also, when somebody came to me for a reading and I would look at their gifts and look at their energy and look at their story, it was so easier for me to reflect back to them their own greatness and to reflect back to that person, their super powers, their capabilities, and their gifts that maybe they were not totally confident about or totally free. It's so much easier to do for another person, isn't it? To just reflect. I said, Oh, my God. Yeah. And I see it exactly. The whole vision is so much easier for another person. For another person, for us, we can sometimes really get in our own ways because we're insecure, maybe we are a lot heard.
We're definitely our own worst enemy, typically.
Yeah, exactly. We're just too close. We're just too It's good sometimes. It helps a lot to... Yes, absolutely. It helps to be around people who are also on this journey to share, to help mirror in each other. In the dysfunctional relationship dynamics, we mirror some of our worst pains and traumas, but we can also have some wonderful connections and mirror some of our greatness and our joyful creativity and our divinity. Those more spiritual meetings with people who are on this path are very valuable, I feel. They're a key component in growth and the journey of ascension.
Just getting to have the conversations like I do on these podcasts that I do in my day-to-day life, the different meditations I join and experiences I have. It's that aspect of those moments of experiencing oneness, the joy and the energy that gets created in conversation and the excitement and the passion. When I'm not doing that, it's harder to stay focused. It's harder to get excited about thinking of what's next, what do I want to share, what do I want to write about. But when I'm in conversation, with people and I'm talking about spirituality and these fun topics, or for me, it's always I love learning, what are people on the edge in science and spirituality doing? Where we progressed to our understanding of proving that these things that we have thought were just the unseen and the esoteric. I mean, Joe Dispensa's work, where he's done so much scientific research with bringing in the spirituality aspect of things and all the quantum physics stuff, it's incredible, right? It really is incredible these aspects of how we want to believe. So many people still want to believe this stuff isn't real, and yet it gets proven over and over again.
It's like, well, why in the collective consciousness are we still in denial that this stuff is real? Because it's what's been comfortable. When we get comfortable people, then we don't change as easily. I think that's the part when we talk about coming back to a soul's purpose on a path to higher consciousness, there's an aspect of almost staying a little bit out of your comfort zone, right? If you've gotten really comfortable, because comfort... Well, maybe comfort is not the right word. Maybe complacent. If you've gotten complacent and you're not growing and changing and taking action and moving on this path of higher consciousness, that's where then we get stuck, right? When we feel stuck, it's really hard to embrace who we are and our soul's purpose. Us. Then we come back to all these things that have us be stuck. That can be anything from a pattern or trauma or abuse or past life or beliefs. All those things are the things that keep us stuck. Then it's about how do we move through those to come back to this embracing our soul's purpose, embracing all of who we are.
Yes. I love that you mentioned, George Spencer. It's such a great teacher practitioner. And of course, his own journey was similar. At the beginning, his books were attempting to bring more of the science in to be more credible and more persuasive and so on. And then by the time he wrote Becoming Supernatural, he was like, Okay, I don't have to persuade my critics. This is actually what happens. This thing is big. So he stopped being so apologetic or trying to prove himself too much. And that was part of his journey, which I think is amazing. I love how he's breached science and spirituality and the world of energy and healing and also interfacing with other consciousnesses. So he talks about other beings coming in offering healing, which is a bit out there for a lot of people. And yet, he's saying it. He's having the courage to be transparent and to allow that to be in the reality of more people. It's amazing, his So yes, it's a combination of factors. It's just the phase we're in, I think, that we're now going from contraction to expansion again. And fear, absolutely, is that edge. It's that edge.
It's the limit of what we know or who we think we are or who we have been, how we have been for better or worse. And Then to expand that and move beyond that and expand who we are and what we can do and what we can experience and who we can be and where we can be and who we're in and so on, that always brings a fear. Because that's the edge, that's the boundary. That's what it feels like. My solution to that, if I can call it a solution, is to love it, to love Not at all. When I'm meeting an edge where I can feel the fear activated, or anything else for that matter, that somehow is keeping me smarter or keeping me where I am limiting me somehow. So when I feel that, I just love that part. And compassion arises when you meet another emotion with love, then it becomes compassion. Compassion. And so compassion is how that edge starts to soften and melt. And then you can open yourself to more. Because at the beginning, you don't necessarily know what you're opening yourself to. Right.
What does that mean? Yeah.
What is this? I don't know. But then the trust grows, doesn't it? The trust grows. Not trying to pre-end, having some guarantee or knowing in advance, trying to control, but just loving, loving more, being compassionate, just gently easing into more of what is and more of life, accepting what is. I remain generally optimistic and positive. I think that helps.
Yeah, well, that's the part of managing in your mind, right? It's that freedom of choice that even when you don't feel like you have choice, there is always... You get to choose how you're responding, and then you can figure out how you are going to make change if you don't like what's there.
Yes. What I have grown to recognize that supports me and grounds me as a fundamental trust in the benevolence of life So contrary to appearances that could be very problematic damaging, a lot of hurt is happening in the world. But somehow I still have a belief and a trust that fundamentally, it's all good. Fundamentally, it's a benevolent force. This life force is a benevolent force that we're part of. And that creates trust in me, existentially, as a being, I can trust myself to be good, even though I don't always behave well or nicely or politely or whatever, or even kindly. We can hurt other people knowingly or unknowingly or our environment. To trust that despite behaviors, despite actions, despite appearances, that essential nature of being is good, is loving, is also fundamentally middle to this whole way of living and moving in life.
I love that. I found myself, I was like, I love that you brought up the word benevolence and It's a word that I've never looked up the definition of. And so I love how you were just simply describing it. And I look up the definition and I'm like, I love words, and I love definitions because this aspect of there is a benevolent force. I love that description. It's the act of kindness, the disposition to do good. It's like an intention and then being willing to believe that generally, most people are doing the best they can, and they want to do good. But if they're not being good and not doing good, and not being kind, they're probably in a lot of pain. And that's a whole other conversation and topic.
But that force that's in the universe It's like, yeah, how can we be more kind and more helpful?
It's wonderful closure. So thank you. Yes.
Thank you, too. And hopefully that takes some of the edge off the fear.
Yeah. It's always the leaning into fear. I don't spend a lot of time in fear, but when fear comes up, it's definitely a leaning into. And then I don't always get to loving it right away. It usually takes me a little bit, and I'm like, Oh, yeah, just love and compassion, because I tend to want to tackle the fear head on. It's like, That's not always the easiest route. The love and compassion is definitely an easier route to fear or to conquering fear.
Yes, indeed.
I know we mentioned some of the programs. What's the best way for people to start working with you if they wanted to get support?
Well, I've just released a gratitude journal, actually. That is such a fantastic starting practice, just ongoing practice and a whole life practice. This is just such a great thing to do. There's a gratitude journal. There is a space online for gratitude practice where anybody can join and share a post. I post some inspiration as well. Then I've also released short meditations for gratitude so that one can easily tune into this energy, especially to transmute negativity or fear of negative karma and so on. My work is very alchemical in that way. For example, good meditation, meta meditation for gratitude, so combining appreciation, love and kindness to transform how we relate with others, with ourselves, with the environment, and so on. There's a meditation for gratitude with the angels to connect that side of the creative forces, the angelic forces, to feel that, benevolent divinity at work. That could be a good starting place. Those are all free. I can go to my website, adanaangelcoaching. Com, or directly to schoolofsoulalchemy. Com and start a new account. It's free, and then go to your gratitude space. Other than that, I offer soul readings and soul alchemy sessions where we look at all those things more deeply, specifically for the person, I look at relationships and families and partnerships and career and all of those things and how they tie in the soul dimension, soul purpose and gifts.
Do a lot of work releasing karma, transmuting negativity. And I run some courses as well. So it's all on my website and the School of Soul Alchemy platform. And the meditations are on YouTube, so just google me and hopefully you'll find them.
Well, Thank you. It's been wonderful chatting about soul purpose related to our higher path of consciousness. So thank you so much. I've enjoyed our conversation.
Thank you, too. It's been wonderful. I loved the flow of it. I really appreciate really appreciate all your reflection.
